United in the vision to build a yoga center that provides the community a balanced variety of yoga classes, inspirational events, healthy living programs and trainings to deepen one’s study of yoga, Cori Martinez and Maureen Gildersleeve opened Asha Yoga in March of 2009.

The Name “Asha” was inspired mostly by it’s Arabic translation: Alive and Well.

Cori (Teacher and Owner of Yoga Centered Studio in Hawaii as well as Asha Yoga in Sacramento) and Maureen (Asha Yoga Manager, business partner and dedicated Yogi) are committed to creating a space where people feel welcomed, supported and able to experience the true benefits of yoga. ­­— A place where people can cultivate a deep sense of feeling and BEING alive and well!
