Your Commitment:
Yes, it's a big commitment.Many things of value in life require that you give fully of yourself and make sacrifices. This doesn't mean your ultimate goal will be to attend class at the yoga studio every day for the rest of your life (Though maybe it is!). YOU will choose your own ultimate goal, but the asana commitment for the challenge IS 30 days of yoga at Asha within 35 days. After completing the challenge, the quantity of time dedicated to the physical practice each day may vary. (Like, even though I always put my clothes away... I sometimes just throw the sweatpants and t-shirts in the drawer without folding them!) Why 5 Weeks?1. Because many studies (and my own experiences) have shown that it takes 28-35 days to make or break a habit. During these 5 weeks, our goal is to make several new habits that will lead us to discover our strongest, healthiest, happiest selves. 2. Because there are 5 "Yamas" in the yogic system (Guidelines for how we interact with the outer world; Social disciplines to guide us in our relationships with others and ourselves.) So, each week we'll focus specifically on one of these Yamas. Current class passes will be frozen. *Auto Renew members pay a reduced rate and continue on auto renew. Please sign-up at the studio. TeachersThe program will be led By Cori Martinez, Asha Yoga Owner and Teacher. All Asha Yoga teachers will assist in supporting your process by addressing the "Living Yoga" themes in each of their regularly scheduled classes as well as by ending each practice with a 5 min. meditation. And, as always, we will all be available to answer questions and offer support before and after each class. |
