MEDITATION

Explore the fundamentals of Zen meditation and the practice of being conscious in one's daily life. Through practice and discussion, you'll learn to be more aware in the everyday world and to ultimately enjoy being present in your life as it's happening! Classes held Monday evenings at 7:30 pm and are taught by Caverly Morgan with One House of Peace. (Note: Class will be moving to Sunday evenings at 7:30 pm beginning September 5th)

KID'S YOGA

Designed for ages 5-10, Kid's Yoga is a wonderful way for children to gain focus, flexibility and have fun! We'll explore breathing techniques, learn tools to be happy and calm and make friends in the process. Yoga postures are taught through games, active stories and creative movement--children gain strength, confidence, and a knowledge of yoga. Classes are held Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 pm.

NOT YET A YOGI?

We offer intro level classes each week and a Yoga 101 workshop once a month. Nourish your body, clear your mind, and get a little extra support.

Class Recommendations

Which class is for you?

We offer 3 types of classes that together cultivate a well-balanced practice and lifestyle. (Dynamic Yogi, Balanced Yogi and Mellow Yogi) While we do hope that eventually you will explore them all, many people begin by looking for something specific.

Here are some guidelines to help you chose your first few classes:

Most of our classes are ALL-Level. In the All-level classes, options and modifications are offered to accommodate beginner-intermediate level students. For the most part, you will chose your class based on the style, rather than the level.

Start with Yoga 101 workshop if any of these statement are true for you. You:
Are new to yoga.
Are not new to Yoga, but not in any rush to move beyond basic level postures.
Feel a little nervous about joining an all-level class.
Feel you need to build a completely new foundation of exercise health.
Would like to know a little more detail and history about yoga.
Would like to take extra time and get more explanation about how to get into the postures.

Try a Dynamic Yogi Class if you:
Are physically healthy and regularly participate in some form of exercise- (or are ready to start.)
Want to be physically challenged and potentially get a bit sweaty.
Are open to more “up-beat” and creative movement.

Try a Balanced Yogi Class if you:
Want an experience that raises your potential without raising your heart rate for extended periods of time.
Want to work equally and deeply to cultivate both strength and flexibility in your body.
Are especially interested in preparing your body and mind for meditation.

Try a Mellow Yogi Class if you:
Want a relaxing, restful experience.
Want to focus on supporting and nurturing your body very gently.
Are always going a million miles an hour and need to be encouraged, invited, or shown how to slow down.
